Styrene-butadiene latex, traditionally used as a backing coating adhesive for artificial grass, has several drawbacks such as being less environmentally friendly, having low tensile strength, being inflexible, and not being resistant to hydrolysis. However, polyurethane adhesive has effectively addressed these issues. The market for PU adhesive for artificial grass was long dominated by foreign products, but Surtek has broken this monopoly, offering artificial grass seam adhesive products whose performance matches and even surpasses that of foreign products. Given the increasing demand for environmentally friendly products and high performance, it's expected that Surtek PU adhesive for artificial grass will have a wide market potential.
